Getting back into the groove of painting again. My next two paintings will require some research and reference, so who knows when they'll be done, but I'm definitely excited about them! Maybe I'll redo some of my older paintings in the meantime.

Fanart for Invader Zim, one of the best cartoons I've ever seen. I've noticed that it's far easier for text to mesh with my digital art than my traditional art. I'm not really sure what to do about it. Text has been the bane of my illustrating existence for some time.

Jessie the Pirate

My friend Amy has lots of interesting characters. She tends to draw in a comicky-realistic style. I thought I'd take her character Jessie and give her a go in my own style. I like the result!

I made this blog just to keep track of sketches and finished art I create.

The above sketch features Nightshade (left) and her sister, Tomato. The deadly nightshade and friendly, edible tomatoes are closely related. It was fun trying to think of what the two plants would look like as fairies.
